Just seen some bulb fibre compost for sale and wondering what it is and whether you should be using it or not?
What Is Bulb Fibre Compost?
The free draining mix of bulb fibre compost helps prevent bulbs from rotting which can be a real problem in heavy soils.
The mixture also promotes bulb root development through the texture of the mix.
Along with all the benefits listed above, it also has feed for three months built as well as lots of nutrients that plants need for healthy growth.
As with all things gardening when it comes to claims of how much better bulbs do in this rather than a custom compost mix it is really hard to say.
Maybe I will do a test to find out like I am currently doing with my Growbag trial.
