When I last visited my local Aldi, they had gardening offers in the middle aisle, and I obviously couldn't resist a little nosy. I ended up buying a few items, one of which was this cheap 4-tier mini greenhouse. I bought it to help harden off my seedlings before they make their way to the allotment, but is it any good? Let's have a look.
Assembly
One of the big things with all these cheap purchases is how easily they go together. Often, cheap buys mean corners have been cut, and they can be quite complicated to put together.
Not so with this. Assembly is very simple, and no tools are needed. It all simply pushes together.

Instructions are basic but clear enough, like I said there isn't that much that you actually have to do.

You build the bulk of the greenhouse by connecting these end brackets to the metal bars. They all just push in and are identical. So, no worrying if you have the right piece; just make four of these and then connect them together with the uprights.

Once you have installed the bent-top bars and placed your racks over them, you are ready to apply the plastic.
This slides over the top, almost as if you were fitting a duvet cover.

One thing I did like was these little clips to keep the mesh shelves in place. You get two per shelf, and they help fasten it down fairly securely.
I would have liked a few more of these, but you can't complain too much at this price point. Last time I had a little greenhouse like this (many moons ago), it didn't come with any of these clips and the shelves were forever falling off.

There we are, all done. It took about 20 minutes to build on my own. With a helper, you could get this done in 10.

Cost
This is where this product really shines, £14.99 it cost me in March 2025. I had a quick look on Amazon, and while you can find what is probably the same product, it was a chunk more expensive.
This one seems to be the same product, as far as I can tell, but it is twice the price at the time of writing.

Verdict
If you are after a small greenhouse to start seeds and harden seedlings, this Aldi special is a good choice for the price!
